City Bear in Gatlinburg Tennessee

While on a recent visit to the wonderful Gatlinburg Tennessee. We stayed for the 3rd time at the older but charming Sidney James Mountain Lodge in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Along the backside you will discover the lovely Leconte creek that runs along the backside of the lodge. Just down the street from the lodge you will find an entrance to the Smoky Mountains State Park on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail.

On our first night there was a very charming Black Bear that decided he wanted to rummage through a hotels trash container. Currently there is an on going don't feed the bears campaign to remind everyone not to feed any bears that you come across in the park or in Gatlinburg TN. I wanted to share photos of the City Bear and remind folks again do not feed the bears and don't leave food in your vehicle.
