Evergreen Cemetery is located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on 90-acres of land. It began as a slave cemetery, until in 1872, its owner Dr. James Maney deeded 20-acres a portion of his land to the city of Murfreesboro. He gave the land to replace the Old City Cemetery that is still located near downtown Murfreesboro TN.
